More than 500 prints made in America during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, encompassing several forms of political art. All of the prints meet two criteria: they were originally designed to express sentiments relating to civic life and government in the United States and they were individually issued prints. A published catalog of the prints was published in 1991: American Political Prints, 1766-1876: A Catalog of the Collections in the Library of Congress (Boston: G.K. Hall & Co., 1991)
